Revit Jobs-Employment-Project Postings

When I started the Revit JobCaptain Blog in 2005, I included the website links to several association job boards in the right column of the home page; AIA National Career Center, AIA Chicago, etc.

Over the years I've had organizations continue to request me to list their Revit jobs, Revit BIM management positions and Revit project opportunities.

The BIM design process is creating a strain for staff resources. Its clear there are more Revit-BIM jobs than trained and/or properly trained individuals to fill positions in the BIM design process.

Considerations when responding to a Revit job opportunity:

Take time and due diligence to read, investigate and thoroughly review each Revit job post and the organization providing this position.

That also includes the staffing or recruitment agency which is advertising this position for the employer.

Initially, you should be able to investigate any job opportunity without providing sensitive personal information; like your Social Security Number (SSN), personal pictures, race, age, religious preference, etc.

A job application does not require the latter personal information and disclosure of your SSN is risky in our virtual world.

You should provide a carefully crafted, one page resume' that lists the major value points of your career. It briefly validates your experience and expertise for the Revit job posted.

I recommend sending this document in a PDF format to prevent altering or tampering of your resume'.

I welcome your feedback. I'll continue to reference and update this page in each Revit job post.

Revit Architecture Class Handouts

Here's a link to my Revit Architecture class handouts. It include more than 40 Revit-BIM blog articles I've written on my company's Architectural Solutions blog.

I've expanded my Revit JobCaptain Squidoo website.

Both the Revit Architecture class handouts and the Squidoo Revit Resource website include:

  • Free Revit downloads websites,
  • How-to docs for green and interior design,
  • BIM for Construction practices,
  • BIM’s influence on our design business and marketing practices,
  • Civil Engineering and Revit,
  • Best practices and Revit implementation recommendations,
  • Free online Revit training resources and much more.

I'm refining the Revit JobCaptain blog over the next month. My writing, teaching, consulting and speaking engagements for the Revit-BIM process...has really kept me on the road longer than I expected. So stay tuned.

Cheers!
