Project Architect - Tempe, AZ/Baltimore, MD/Silver Spring, MD

This client has opportunities in Tempe, AZ, Baltimore, MD, and Silver Spring, MD for an experienced project architect to work on some of the most premier higher education and research facilities.

Role:


The Project Architect works with the Senior Project Manager or Design Director in the development of design concepts, and coordinate concepts with the work of other architects, engineers and technicians which are incorporated into a final deliverable.

Responsibilities:
  1. Works on all aspects of architectural projects.
  2. May focus in Project Management, Design, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Administration aspects of Project Delivery.
  3. Performs a variety of complex tasks and may be oversee work on minor projects.
  4. Selects, evaluates, and implements procedures and techniques used on projects.
  5. Prepares and submits reports, studies, drawings and/or specifications as requested.
  6. Assist the Senior Architect in developing project man-hours and planning schedule for his/her phases of the project.
  7. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Qualifications: Familiar with architectural concepts, practices, procedures, final documents, specifications, materials and construction practices.
Requirements:
  • Architectural Registration preferred.
  • LEED accreditation required within 12 months.
  • CSI certification encouraged- CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) as the preliminary test followed by CCS (Certified Construction Specifier) and then CCCA (Certified Construction Contract Administrator).
  • Proficiency using Revit.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Masters or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Five+ years related experience and/or training.

Communication Technology Systems Designer

The client is looking for a Communication Technology Systems Designer in their Boston office who will be responsible for designing/drafting, voice/data/video cabling, security access control, CCTV systems, Audio Visual systems and broadband (CATV) systems for various projects.

Designers aid in the selection of equipment, edit specifications, and help produce working documents utilizing Revit, AutoCAD and Autodesk products. Working closely with senior designers, vendors and clients.

The successful candidate will produce final drawings/specifications and complete design tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years' experience drafting and designing distribution systems using Revit and AutoCAD.

Revit/AutoCAD Certificate in Design and Drafting is preferred. Must have general knowledge of building codes and general engineering practices. RCDD not essential at this time, will help successful candidate towards certification.

CAD MANAGER – Ho Chi Minh City Office | Vietnam
Department Civil, M&E & Structural Design Department & Urban Planning and Architecture Department

This position reports to Design Director

Work relationship Design Director, Structural Director, Team leaders/Design Managers, Architects and Draughtsmen, Engineers, Project Managers, Pricing

Key responsibilities
  1. Sets up, enforces and controls CAD standards for the branch office
  2. Coordinate and supervise the production of drawings
  3. Implement Design and CAD standards
  4. Create and organize and update AutoCad library of architectural details
  5. Organize the production files on the server
  6. Evaluate and train the engineers and design team
  7. Forecast and design the resources with DD and TD
  8. Improve draughtsmen productivity
Duties
  • Enforce the proper use of CAD standards and library
  • Check the quality and the progress of design documents prepared by the design teams. Team Leader (TL) should consult regularly the CAD Manager.
  • Enforce the proper use of server (regular save on server, at the proper place)
  • Make sure that documents issued follow the standards set up by the company Quality Control before releasing ACT documents to external consultants and clients .
  • Assist in the evaluation if candidates for the team (if required)
  • Follow up the modifications discussed with the DM and TL and make sure that they are implemented.
  • Organize and follow up the Quality Contract for all the projects under design (list of drawings, drawings filing soft and paper copies)
  • When necessary, The CAD Manager may participate to the recruitment and evaluation of staff for the design teams
  • About the sourcing, set up the data base with the IT Manager, following the form prepared by the DM, PM
  • Organize regular evaluation and training sessions
  • Set up the templates and necessary forms upon request
  • Advise the DM and PM upon request
  • Performance Standards
Background in Architecture and drafting with a good command of English
