Milwaukee (WI) area engineering consulting firm is seeking a drafter/designer to work on HVAC & Plumbing work in Revit.

Minimum 2 years experience in MEP and 1 year experience full time on Revit (although more experience in either or both is a BIG plus).

BIM/CAD Manager

This job opportunity is with a Midwestern award-winning, multi-disciplinary, and green A/E Firm

The BIM/CAD Manager will be responsible for playing a key role on a team that will work with firm leadership to develop and cultivate a strategic plan for the implementation of integrated project delivery utilizing Revit and other BIM components.

The BIM/CAD Manager will work with the IT department and studio managers on hardware and software requirements to effectively perform this work, and with the design staff and project managers to implement and further develop our firm’s procedures and standards for integrating architectural/engineering design and project delivery.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Architecture program, Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• Five years of experience working in an architecture/engineering firm
• Three years of experience with BIM using Revit Architecture, MEP, and Structure to produce drawing sets and building models.
• Experienced member of an Integrated Project Delivery team preferred.

Knowledge, skills, abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of CAD/BIM standards and best practices,
• architectural project workflow from programming through construction administration. Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2010, Revit 2010, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and standard office software packages.
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and enthusiasm for mentoring all levels of staff.
• Comfort with multiple BIM/CAD roles: training and support mentor, project team member, and strategic operations leader.
